Paying of Debt? (Credit Cards) Is it bad to pay off credit cards?
I want to buy a house fairly soon, and I heard that it was a bad thing to pay off ALL my credit card debt. Is this true, or just a wive tail. I hope to hear from you soon.
Pay it all off and wait a month for the cards to report the $0 balance to the Credit Reporting Agencies.
After this, do NOT cancel the cards.
Then, visit annualcreditreport.com and make sure your credit reports are correct.
